Gourdon is a beautiful place and the home of my family tree. I am the grandaughter of Alexander & Maggie Ross, It was my Uncle Ritchie Ross that guided me to this site and I love him dearly for it. I know reside in Canada, but still call Scotland my home, I have been to
Gourdon once a few years back and truely enjoyed my visit. I was born in Stonehaven, and also got to see that. Would love to talk to anyone in Gourdon, as a email friend. God Bless Scotland xox

Re my message about Johan McLeod. I forgot to say that she was a sister of the John Corner mentioned in David Fotheringham's poem on this site. His name was John Cordiner McLeod. Maybe this will stir some memories.
Thanks, Elizabeth Craig

Hello,John, enjoy your site.My husband Raymond, has the same gt.gt.grandparents as you, David Ritchie and Catherine Robb. His mum was Isabella McLeod. Does anyone know what happened to Johan Mowatt McLeod, born Gourdon, 1894, to George McLeod and Ann Masson. She lived in Stonehaven with her aunt Helen Leiper(Masson ) after her mum died. She may have moved to the Glasgow area. A descendant of Helen Leiper, in California, has been trying to trace her for ages, so I said I would try here.
